Curriculum Intent

At Nathaniel Newton our intent is to provide PSHE education to help our children stay safe, heathy and prepare for life’s challenges and opportunities. We want to help pupils to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to thrive as individuals and to create a safe, open and positive learning environment based on trusting relationships between adults and children alike.

Through our delivery of Jigsaw and Protective Behaviours, we want our children to be able to identify and name their feelings. We want our children to feel safe. We want our children to know that they can talk to someone about anything, no matter how horrible or small. We want to listen to our children and put them at the centre, consider their views and use them to inform our teaching.
