NATHANIEL NEWTON INFANT SCHOOL

LEVEL 2 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT JOB VACANCY

Hours of work: 8.30am – 3.20pm Monday to Friday (31hrs and 40minutes per week)

Term Time only plus 5 INSET days

Pay Scale: Band F (points 7-10)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Nathaniel Newton Infant School is a nurturing, inclusive three-form entry infant school situated in the village of Hartshill, on the outskirts of Nuneaton.

We are looking to recruit a committed, caring and highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant.

The successful applicant will work in close partnership with other staff to pursue continual school improvement and to enrich the lives and learning of the children and families in our community.

We would like our new Teaching Assistant to:

  • Have skills and experience working with children with diverse and complex needs such as: communication needs, sensory needs, cognition and learning differences and ASD.
  • Be a dedicated professional with the ability to build strong relationships with both children, other staff and families.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Be patient, resilient and calm with a good sense of humour.
  • Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
