Autumn 2

This half term our topic is called 'Let's Party!' where we will be learning about different celebrations.

Birthdays

We shared the story 'The Toys Party' and then had lots of fun making Kipper's cake - it had some very strange ingredients.

 

We then used our phonics to help us write a list of the things that Kipper put it his cake.

Bonfire Night

Remember, remember the fifth of November,

Gunpowder, treason and plot...

We have been learning about Guy Fawkes and enjoyed making our own bonfire and model fireworks.

Autumn 1

In maths we have been learning lots about the numbers 1, 2 and 3. We watched Number Blocks, then did lots of work counting and finding ways to represent and make these numbers. 

  

 

Our topic this half term is 'Once upon a rhyme!' We have learnt lots of nursery rhymes - Humpty Dumpty,  Incy Wincy Spider, Miss Polly, London's Burning and The Wheels on the Bus.

We have been learning lots of sounds in phonics and are getting good at writing the letters to match each sound. 

  

 

We have been doing lots of activities to help develop and strengthen our hand muscles so we can we become super writers!
